Melon Reference 2018 (NEEDS TO BE RE0DRAWN)

These drums come in a variety of shape and sizes – Melon’s one is a was like a mix between and Tang and Talba drum with tribal dragons engraved on the side of it, with various beading on the outside of the drum and was just a tad wider than her forearm to hold.

This is a very rare skill, and due to the sudden collapse of the empire nearly 400 years ago, all 13 drummers went missing and were presumed dead. This skill was meant to pass down from generation to generation because these people have the power to guide lost spirits and to crush someone’s soul in an instant, even speak to a loved one after death, and find the souls of missing rikari; they were a symbol of hope of the people living that that they would be guided into the afterlife.

Each drummer would get the past memories of the last handlers of the drums, making them very sort after resources and prime targets for kidnappings and murders.

But there was a downside to this power, if handled irresponsibly, the spirit could enter the body of the rikari and change the personally, appearance, and behaviour of that rikari, and in the end take some of that control if not all from the host. This is how Melon came to have the dragon breed living within her known as Lucius.

Because of Melon’s extreme self-control he rarely gets to take the lead, but, Melon is at her most vulnerable when she’s is hurting physically and mentally. Melon can take the basic form of “Lucius” extending in height, and in knowledge.

Lucius was a battle born dragon breed rikari, which enjoyed the thrill of the hunt giving the rikari that opposed him a truly gruesome ending that, that itself became a “trademark” fighting stance for him and his killing techniques became outlawed, even his name was frowned upon from that point on.

This makes Melon an extreme powerful and unstable candidate which both the council and citizens are trying to combat – even if that does mean destroying her.
